  • 1.5" tapered fork steering tube for more front end stiffness and strength
  • Compatibility with newer carbon fiber fork upgrades with tapered steering tubes
  • Increased tire clearance for 35mm tires
  • New color scheme

Please note that the KHS Flite 747 is not made by Zinn Cycles. This bike is manufactured and partially assembled by KHS in their Taiwan factory. Zinn Cycles is not responsible for assembly from the factory. We can ship the KHS gravel bike as-is from KHS or as fully assembled by mechanics at Zinn Cycles.

The bike comes to us from KHS partially assembled. You have two options for assembly and shipping:

  1. We at Zinn Cycles complete the bike assembly and ship it to you fully assembled. Please allow 2-4 weeks for assembly, (plus additional time for shipping).
  2. We ship the bike boxed as-is from KHS (partially assembled). You will need to take it to a bike shop to have this done unless you are an experienced bike mechanic. Below is a checklist of items that require a mechanic’s expertise to assemble the bike when you get it.

**When checking out online, choose one of the two shipping options: complete bike fully assembled or partially assembled.

KHS Bikes are partially assembled at their factory in Taiwan. Zinn Cycles cannot be responsible for the partial assembly performed by KHS. Issues with factory assembly must be handled directly with KHS

KHS Bike assembly checklist - needed if you choose the partially assembled option:

  • Install stem and handlebars.
  • Install grips.
  • Install brake levers and shifters (cables come separately from one another).
  • Install rear derailleur.
  • Install both wheels.
  • Check bottom bracket cups on both sides for correct torque of 40 Newton-meters (Nm).
  • **Remove the large black crank-arm fixing bolt and apply a healthy amount of blue medium strength loctite to the bolt.
  • **Check pinch-bolt threads on the left crank arm and torque to 10-Nm.
  • **Then torque the large crank arm fixing bolt with 8mm allen wrench to 30nm.
  • Check and true wheels.
  • Check tire pressure.
  • Install brake rotor to wheel and ensure proper bolt torque.
  • Verify brakes are aligned and not rubbing.
  • Bed in brake pads.
  • Verify the bike is shifting properly.
  • Set front suspension air pressure to approximately 50-60% body weight in PSI using a shock pump (not a tire pump).

**These steps are critical for safe and proper performance of your bike crankset
