Titanium Gravel Bikes Built Tough for Big and Tall Riders

Gravel bikes have boomed in popularity over the past 10 years for lots of reasons. A gravel bike is basically a road bike with disc brakes, larger tire clearance, and a more upright position than a typical racing road bike. Gravel bikes typically have tires anywhere from 35mm to 55mm in width and serve a variety of riding styles. Many people ride gravel bikes on paved roads and dirt roads and their rides typically will be a mix of both surface types. Others ride on very rugged back roads and trails such as forest service roads, 4x4 roads, and even singletrack. There are many tire options for gravel bikes, ranging in size and also tread patterns. Some gravel tires have a slick center track with extra knobs on the edges for cornering traction. This type of tire is great for mixed surface riding. Other gravel tires feature more aggressive treads and are more appropriate for looser and rugged back roads. We can help you determine the best tire and wheel combination for the type of riding you are doing. The Gravel bikes with clearance for up to 45mm tires are the best for a mix of paved and dirt roads, and this type of bike is often called an All-road bike or a Gravel Road bike. Gravel bikes with larger than 45mm tires tend to be used for more rugged terrain and are not going to roll as quickly on paved roads. Gravel bikes with tires larger than 50mm are often called Adventure Gravel bikes and are specifically for more rugged loose trails and roads and bike packing trips. Any of these style of gravel bikes are versatile and can be built with multiple wheelsets for different occasions.
