Also, for high volume gravel tires with disc brakes, it is sometimes preferred to carry the wheels in a separate wheel bag to make the packing easier. It's also optional to use a slightly larger case that fits the whole bike or going with 650b wheels. We will work with you to determine the best travel options for your bike.
Why Frame Couplers?The reason we utilize S&S couplers or Z-couplers for packing is because they allow the rider to fully break apart their bike and pack it into an airline regulation suitcase. Both types of couplers are incredibly strong and lightweight and do not affect the performance of your bike in any way. This is a great option for someone who wants to be able to travel with their main bike to avoid needing to rent a sub-standard or ill-fitting bike at their destination. Also you no longer need to travel with folding bikes with tiny wheels when you can travel with your full size road or gravel bike that you ride every day. US and Worldwide ShippingWe ship bikes, cranks, components, and clothing anywhere in the world. All bikes are shipped fully assembled with the front wheel removed, and the handlebar disconnected from the stem. We are extremely careful to protect your bike fully from the aggressive package handlers that it may encounter. Your bike will be well padded, wrapped and tightly packed into the box so that it cannot move while in transit. When you receive your bike you will have minimal assembly to get it ready to ride, and if you have no mechanical experience with bikes, we recommend taking it to a bike shop.
