One option is to choose direct mount spiders for a little extra modularity without having to fully commit to complete customization. Direct Mount Chainrings Vs. Spiders
There are two options for your bike customization in our selection: direct mount chainrings and spiders. While MTB chainrings are lighter than spiders, they aren’t as easy to install or remove. One of the benefits of the spiders is that you can sometimes change the rings without having to remove the cranks whenever you want to swap your custom chainrings based on terrain. Although, direct mount chainrings do go down to 26 teeth, which can be useful if you’re looking for climbing gears only – instead of a broader range cassette at higher speeds.
